Description
17th Century Oak Table – Band. Palace House, Beaulieu
We feel very honoured to have been given the opportunity to adapt carved details from furniture housed within Palace House, Beaulieu, into moulds.
This detailed band was taken from a 17th century oak draw-leaf table with square chamfered legs, situated in the Portrait Gallery.
Moulded as separate pieces, this is extremely versatile:
Put the pieces together to accurately recreate the original carving. Use the band either way up for different effects, or mould the pieces separately to add decorative flourishes to your cakes.
The carvings of this piece match those of the Carved Armoire – Birds Set.
Size of finished piece approx: 335mm x 76mm
Size of mould approx: 382mm x 90mm
Once the gatehouse of the medieval Beaulieu Abbey, Palace House has been in the Montagu family home since 1538.
Beaulieu is an award winning family day out with many attractions, including the National Motor Museum.
