Description
Moroccan/Vintage Tile Stencils. Three designs available.
A unique set of three carefully designed and developed high quality stencils, to create beautifully intricate patterns to replicate Moroccan/Vintage tiles for your cake, craft and home projects.
Designed to perfectly fit our unique Moroccan/Vintage Tile Mortar Marker – Mortar Markers (Easy Boards) to add pattern, colour or texture the easy way, the Moroccan/Vintage Tile Stencils add a new dimension to your creations.
Each stencil can also be used without the added ‘grout lines’ or ‘mortar marks’ the Moroccan/Vintage Tile Mortar Marker creates.
Why not experiment on plain paper with different colour combinations? We’ve given you a few examples so that you can see how colour can alter the mood of the finished effect. Give it a go!
How to use:
Dry Brushing:
- Ensure the application surface is even and smooth
- Mark using the Moroccan/Vintage Tile Mortar Marker, and allow to dry/set (more detailed instructions for use can be found here: Mortar Markers (Easy Boards)
- Place your chosen stencil centrally onto the marked area and secure in place.
- Using a small sponge or stipple brush apply colour by dry brushing (tap into the colour and tap onto paper towel to remove the excess)
- Gently tap into the cut-out sections of the stencil, slowly building the colour. Avoid using sideways movements as bleed can occur.
- When using more than one colour, allow each colour to dry before applying another.
- Lift your stencil carefully to avoid smudging or smearing
- Admire your amazing work!
Airbrushing:
If you are new to airbrushing we recommend using the Moroccan/Vintage Tile Stencils on an even and smooth surface, without first using the Moroccan/Vintage Tile Mortar Marker.
- Ensure the application surface is even and smooth
- Place your chosen stencil centrally onto the marked area and secure in place
- Be sure to mask the area around where you are applying colour as overspray may occur onto adjacent surfaces
- Allow colours to dry before applying another
- Avoid spraying over any lifted edges as colour will build and the edge of the design may not be crisp and clean
How to use to add texture:
- Apply an even coat of Royal Icing, buttercream or plaster with a small scraper or palette knife, taking care not to catch the cut-out sections of the stencils.
- Remove your stencil to reveal the design.
Wash the stencils using warm, soapy water.
Suitable for use with countless mediums – sugarpaste, edible dusts, cocoa butter, royal icing and buttercream. Air and oven bake clays, edible dusts, plaster, acrylics etc
